Join our team at Barrowford Dental Practice

We’re looking for an Associate Dentist to work one day a week initially at our family run, mixed practice located in Barrowford, East Lancashire.

About us:

We’re a well-established, independent 4-surgery practice located in Barrowford, East Lancashire. The practice is minutes from junction 13 of the M65 between Burnley and Colne and is easily commutable from Manchester, Lancashire, the Ribble Valley and parts of North and West Yorkshire. Barrowford is a vibrant village location with independent shops, restaurants etc. and free parking just across the road.

We’re a modern practice providing a mix of predominantly private and some NHS dentistry plus hygiene services, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and implants. The opportunity includes taking over a well-maintained number of NHS patients and new private patients (including some plan capitation).

We’re a forward thinking, sociable team, dedicated to providing excellent patient experience and care. We’re a committed training practice with experienced and knowledgeable long standing support staff and many years’ previous experience with the FD scheme. The practice is fully computerised, with digital x-rays, Intra Oral scanners and digital CBCT/OPG.

About you:

We’re looking for a dentist to work 1 day a week initially at the practice, seeing a mix of NHS and private patients. There is scope for this to increase to 2 days in time. We’re especially interested in a candidate with an interest in orthodontics who could offer clear aligner treatment – whether you are already treating patients or have completed some training in this area and would like to put this into practice. You should be a dental graduate with a BDS (or equivalent) who has completed FD training (or equivalent), is GDC registered with an up-to-date DBS check, performer number and indemnity insurance.

If you appreciate a supportive clinical environment, with like-minded individuals who enjoy working together in the best interest of the patients, and as a team, then we are looking for you. There is good scope for developing private work and specialisms, with full support given for postgraduate training. You will have a professional, confident, friendly manner with excellent communication skills.

Hours:

Up to 1 day a week – ideally on a Tuesday but there is some flexibility.
